On Friday, December 7th, the NCHS Museum will be open from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm, as we participate in the Chappaqua–Millwood Chamber of Commerce’s “Wine Around Town.” Swirl, Sniff, Sip & Enjoy! Several merchants in Chappaqua will be open late — enjoy a few drinks, browse our local stores, and get some holiday shopping done while you socialize!

Workshop – Create 19th Century Tin-Punch Decorations
Workshop Brighten up your winter days by attending the New Castle Historical Society's Tin-Punch Decorating Workshop! For children (ages 6 & older) and adults. Throughout the 1700s and 1800s, tinners, also known as tinsmiths or tinkers, used pieces of iron covered in tin to craft everyday objects such as lanterns, cupboards, footwarmers, colanders, scoops, and cooking utensils. Using hammers or mallets, they would curve and bend the tin. Today, tin-punch is often used in decorative pieces for the home. Workshop…
